If your child umpires or referees and is under 18, you can choose to manage them from your own Time, Umpire! account. You enter their availability, confirm their shifts and get their messages, so they don't need their own email address or phone.
Everything runs through your account, so start by setting yourself up in the free Time, Umpire! app. There's no special parent sign-up. Every adult account can manage children.
Add each child who officiates. All you need is their name and date of birth, with no email or password. Their shifts, reminders and messages all come to you.
Add your child with their name and date of birth. They won't need their own email.
Some juniors signed up themselves before a parent was involved. Please don't create a second account for them. If you'd like to manage it, you can link their existing account to yours below, so their history, association memberships and past shifts carry across. While it's linked, your child can't sign in to it themselves until you release it back to them.
Already added your child as a new account as well, or stuck? Email support@timeumpire.com.au and we'll link or merge the accounts for you so nothing is lost.
Your child needs to belong to the association they officiate for. You join them from their card. You don't have to join yourself.
Repeat for each child. Siblings can belong to different associations.
You don't join anything. Your app shows only your children's dates and shifts, so there's never any question of who you're answering for.
Join your own association from Profile › My associations. The app then asks "Who's this for?" whenever you enter availability. Pick You or your child's name, and take care to pick the right one.
When the association opens a date, you'll get a notification and a pink Availability is open banner on the home screen. Each date shows a tag for every child who can answer, so you can see at a glance who still needs a response.
When the roster is published, you'll get a notification. The Shifts tab lists every shift for all your children in one place, and each card is tagged with the child's name.
No. A child you add in the app has no login of their own. Their shifts, reminders and messages all come to your account.
No. You can join your child to an association, enter their availability and confirm their shifts without being a member yourself. Only join if you officiate too.
Yes. Use the form in Step 03 on this page. You'll need a code from your email and one from your child's. Their history is kept. While it's linked, your child can't sign in to that account themselves and everything is managed from yours. To give them their access back, switch on Allow independent login for them under My children in the app.
Shifts can be confirmed in the app but not declined. If your child can no longer attend, contact your association directly so they can find a replacement.
Yes. Open the child under My children and tap Unlink child. To leave just one association, tap Leave next to it instead.
Email us and we'll sort it out, whether that's linking an account, merging a duplicate or anything else.
